In this video, we will introduce the Job Setup functionality within CNC Reflection Studio. Job Setup serves as the digital twin of a physical machining environment, creating a complete virtual representation of your machines, tooling, stock material, fixtures, and setup data used throughout your manufacturing process. We will explore how you can manage your assets through three primary interface panes: the Project Navigator, Job Setup, and Visualizer panes. You’ll learn how these tools work together to provide a foundation for creating accurate and reliable machining simulations.

We will explore key features such as:

  • Digital twin creation
  • Project Navigator pane
  • Job Setup pane
  • Visualizer pane
  • Asset management tools

You will see how these features and others will help you setup and manage your machining simulation projects.

How to get started:

This video will help you navigate the three primary panes used in CNC Reflection Studio and the primary function of each. We will also walk you through how to choose a machine model from the configured Machine Library as well as how to build tooling configurations and choose other setup data. These steps establish the foundation for creating realistic and accurate machining simulations within CNC Reflection Studio.

What you will learn:

After watching the video, you will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose of Job Setup
  • Navigate the Project Navigator, Job Setup, and Visualizer panes
  • Create, save, load, and manage Job Setup configurations
  • Organize manufacturing assets
  • Define machine, tooling, stock, fixture, and setup data within a project
  • Select machine models from the Machine Library
  • Create and manage tool assemblies
  • Configure stock and fixture relationships for simulation readiness
  • Use visual validation tools and smart-snapping features to improve setup accuracy
  • Build a complete virtual machining environment that supports simulation and verification workflows.
