iRVision Part Z Height
How to properly set the Part Z Height in an iRVision 2D Vision Process
In this video, we will go over how to view backed-up vision data offline using FANUC’s iRVision tools and ROBOGUIDE. If you’ve ever needed to analyze vision processes without being connected to a live robot, this walkthrough will show you exactly how to do it. Reviewing vision data offline is a powerful way to troubleshoot, train, and optimize your robotic systems while minimizing downtime.
We start by covering the essentials of creating a proper controller backup. You’ll learn how to navigate the teach pendant menus, select the correct device, and organize your files so that your backup includes the vision data files you need. Once your backup is ready, we’ll guide you through loading it into ROBOGUIDE, creating a virtual work cell, and accessing the robot’s home page to explore iRVision settings.
Inside ROBOGUIDE, we’ll demonstrate how to open Vision Setup and review all the vision processes and camera data tools from your backup. You’ll see how to review and modify the parameters withing the vision process —all without connecting to a real robot controller. This gives you valuable insight into what’s running in production and helps you make informed adjustments.
One important note: backups do not include camera images. We’ll explain why and point you toward the iRVision Image Playback feature for loading logged images when needed. This ensures you can fully visualize your processes and maintain accuracy in your analysis.
