PalletTool 3 - Determining the UTOOL Values for Custom Grippers
Learn how to set accurate UTOOL offsets for custom grippers in PalletTool 3, including X, Y, Z, and R values for multi-zone setups.
This video details the different faceplate interfaces of the M-10 and M-20 series, including both solid- and hollow-wrist styles. Hollow-wrist robots have easier cable and hose routing, while solid-wrist robots require routing around the outside of J3. The wrist type is determined by the series, with M-10iD and M-20iD being exclusively hollow wrist robots, while the M-20iB is equipped with a solid wrist. The M-10iD and M-20iD models share the same faceplate interface, with a difference in the number of holes, and an optional ISO flange adapter that can be added if required for tooling. The food-grade variants and dust-proof wrist cover types have slightly different interfaces, including stainless steel adapters and increased J5 offset. Non-standard faceplates may require adjustments to the risk load diagram, and the payload checker may not account for changes automatically.
