CRX LED Light Control
Take control of your CRX robot’s LED indicators as we walk through setup, customization, and practical uses to enhance workflow clarity and visibility.
In this video, Jessica Ray, an associate engineer at FANUC America, demonstrates how to configure and use the wrist button feature on CRX Series robots. The wrist button feature provides a simple and effective way to enable manual guided teaching, execute teaching operations, and perform other functions without holding the tablet teach pendant. This feature is available on all standard CRX robots. In an overview of the new feature, you learn that a new internal mechanical cable and a new flange with the wrist buttons are required, no change to the payload or IP67 rating occurs, software option S569 is required, and the function is available starting with version V9.40/P56 for all models. You can access the wrist button settings by navigating to the Menu, Set Up, to find Wrist Button Setup. The user may set their own preferences for button control and continue to follow the steps Jessica runs through. It is important to note that the same function may not be set for more than one button, except for the program execution function. All payload and speed settings must be set prior to using the wrist buttons and an emergency stop button must always be available. There are five functions available through the wrist button setup. Toggle MGT (manual guided teaching) allows the user to change which type of manual guided teaching is active, based on user selections. Start/Stop MGT allows users to enable or disable freehand teaching by pressing the button. Weight Switch for MGT allows the user to confine the teaching weight to a specified percentage while holding the button. Program Execution (No Mobile) allows users to execute a selected teach pendant program. Finally, the Record Position function allows for motion position points to be added to the program. Jessica shows a sample program creation where she creates a pick and place program by using the wrist functions. She wraps up the video with testing and verification of the sample program.
