Configure R-30iB Plus EtherNet/IP™ Scanner to I/O Modules at Controlled Start

Sep 24, 2025

Staff Engineer Haresh Moradia, demonstrates connecting the robot Ethernet/IP scanner to I/O modules with non-zero and zero configuration sizes. The Ethernet/IP Scanner option is supported across all FANUC R-30iB Plus Controllers.  The Advanced Ethernet/IP Scanner package includes Enhanced Data Access (EDA) for use with Rockwell PLCs and access to an OPC-UA server. Ethernet/IP requires no additional hardware. It is good practice to plan and lay out a network diagram showing all connected devices when using the Ethernet/IP Scanner option.

FANUC R-50iA Robot Controller Software PLC - Getting Started

This tech short demonstrates how to get started using the new software option "Software PLC" on the R-50iA robot controller using V10.10P/25 or latest software.  Additionally, two other options, "Operator Panel" and "Process Axis Control" are introduced as a part of the complete Software PLC suite.  These options require the CODESYS™ Development System V3.5 SP19 ~ SP21 and the latest "CODESYS Control for FANUC Robot" package.
