How to Remote Start a Robot using the OTHER Method (Part 1)
Part 1 of a series; learn to utilize the User Operator Panel Inputs and Outputs (UOP I/O) to control the robot remotely (ex: from a PLC).
This video is the second in a series about how to use the User Operator Panel Inputs and Outputs (UOP I/O) to remotely start a robot on an R-30iB Plus controller. Katie will resume the conversation started in the “How to Remote Start a Robot – Part 1” Tech Short video (found here), which covered: the OTHER Production Startup method, how to set up the OTHER Production Startup details, and described the roles of each of the User Operator Panel Input and Output (UOP I/O) signals. This Part 2 video will explain: how to: configure the UOP I/O, set the necessary System Configuration settings, and run the robot using the UOP I/O signals. It also discusses the CSTOPI for ABORT and the START for CONTINUE ONLY settings.
