Katie Austin is a Robotic Application Engineer at FANUC America with over eight years of experience in robot programming. She has worked both as a robot programmer on the manufacturing floor and as an instructor at the FANUC Academy. While exploring another career path, she also worked as an English as a Second Language instructor at the university level. These experiences enable her to take complex technical subjects and communicate them simply so that they can appeal to audiences of varying experience levels. Her primary subjects of expertise at FANUC are line tracking, palletizing, 2D vision, 3D vision, and general material handling applications.
She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Bachelor of Arts in German, and a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology.
