- Test Cycle
Test cycle is a feature that simplifies and improves the safety of robot program testing by grouping key settings into a single menu, allowing users to gradually enable functionality such as robot motion, I/O, and process equipment. Users typically begin by running programs virtually with motion and equipment disabled to verify logic using simulated graphics, then enable step mode for line-by-line validation, followed by low-speed motion testing before reaching full production speed. Finally, process equipment is activated to confirm complete system operation. The feature adapts to different robot applications—such as welding or dispensing—offering specific controls like arc enablement or flow settings. While powerful, users must understand its limitations, such as DCS monitoring only working on physical robots, and carefully manage process equipment settings to avoid unintended actions.
